In the last weeks I did a lot of changes wich are already up in CVS. Since the work at University is done for now, I have some time to work on the project. Newest stuff in the engine is a BSP loader for Quake 2 and Quake 3 maps but this is still very experimental. Quake 2 BSPs can load but without textures since I did not want to write a loader for the .wal images and Quake 3 loader works for geometry and textures (so you can display a map and fly through it) but there are still some errors when it comes to handle special polygons and meshes.

Ok, it's been a long time since my last news. But now I have some time and hopefully a lot of changes will come into CVS during the next days and weeks. I've already uploaded some changes but the major aim is to get a working techdemo in the next 2 months.

Made some changes to the webpage. The code is now up in CVS.

This project is or will be a 3D engine primary for First Person Shooter games. OpenGL is used for rendering and SDL for platform independent window and input management. Currently only Linux is supported (that means tested), just because I am currently developing with Linux. But that does not mean, this project will only ever run on Linux, no, maybe FreeBSD will also run sometimes ;-) I don't know if there will be a Win32 port but since the used libraries are mostly platform independent, it should not be that hard to port it. During the next days, I will upload some information for the engine and also put the code I already have in CVS.
